Akademie Science Fiction, Fantasy & Hororových filmů v Los Angeles oznámila nominace na 32. výroční ceny Saturn. V nominacích se vůdčího postavení ujal Lucasův film "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" s deseti nominacemi. "Batman Begins" následuje v těsném závěsu s devíti nominacemi, zatímco "náhražky" Pána prstenů "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe" a "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" obdržely po osmi nominacích.

Společnost Warner Bros. Pictures zase vede mezi filmovými studii s 29 nominacemi za filmy z její produkce. Filmy společností 20th Century Fox a Universal Pictures získaly po třinácti nominacích. Buena Vista je následovala s dvanácti nominacemi. Paramount získal pouhých sedm.

V kategoriích televizních seriálů nejvíce zaujaly "Lost" a "Smallville", aby nabíraly po šesti šancích utkat se o zlaté globy Saturnů. Za zmínku stojí čtyři obsazené kategorie "Battlestar Galactica", tři "Stargate SG-1" a "The Triangle".

Tento rok jsou v kurzu počítačové hry v různých prestižních oceněních, proto se na ně zaměřila taktéž Akademie SFFH filmů. V závěru nominací naleznete kategorií Multimédia a v ní nominované hry inspirované filmy (popřípadě naopak). 

Akademie byla založena již v roce 1972 na počest filmovému průmyslu. Za roky své existence se přesunul a rozšířil její zájem na další filmové žánry a začal se zabývat televizními seriály, domácí zábavou a videohrami. Prezidentem Akademie je v současnosti Robert Holguin.

2. května budou v Universal City vyhlášeny ceny komikem Jeffrey Rossem.
