Endeavour Award patří do kategorie cen udělovaných sf a fantasy románům (nad 40 tisíc slov), které napsali pouze spisovatelé žíjící na pacifickém severozápadě (Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, The Yukon, British Columbia). Do užšího výběru se letos dostalo pět autorů:

Mythopoeic Awards

Na 39. vyročním setkání The Mythopoeic Society (Mythopoeic Conference (Mythcon 39)) byli představeni výherci Mythopoeic Awards. Výherci byli vyhlášeni 17. srpna 2008 v New Britain, Conecticut. Tato organizace se věnuje obzvláště pracem navazujícím a rozšiřujícím dílo Inklingů - klubu, jehož členy byli i  J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis a Charles Williams.
