O víkendu 3-6/11 byly na World Fantasy Convention v Madisonu, stát Wisconsin, vyhlášeny ceny World Fantasy Award (přesněji odpoledne 6. listopadu 2005). Čestnými hosty conu byli Graham Joyce, Robert Weinberg, Terri Windling, Kinuko Y. Craft (za výtvarníky), a jako toastmaster Peter Straub. Cenu za celoživotní dílo v žánru dostali Carol Emshwiller (česky vyšlo Sex a/nebo pan Morrison (in Nebezpečné vize, Laser) a Měsíční písně (in To nejlepší z hororu a fantasy, Kredit)) a Tom Doherty (vydavatelská legenda, vlastní nakl.
